We grew a strawberry…

Everyone knows about British weather; it’s incredibly unpredictable. But, I have learned two things about weather since moving here: 1) when it’s nice, it’s spectacular; and 2) the plants love it.

It has taken two summers, but this year I’m taking advantage. I planted strawberries, tons of tomatoes, rosemary, lavender, mint, thyme, and various purple and pink-flowering plants. I am hoping to add a couple of basil plants this week. And the roses we planted last year are thoroughly enjoying themselves.

I love having endless fragrant blooms to fill my bud vases, and loads of delicious little gems to snack on. Yay summer! C’mon tomatoes!
