Lavender Harvest

Lavender is one of my favourite things. Growing up, my grandmother had it planted along the path to her door; the smell will always remind me of summers with her on Cape Cod—full of happy, barefoot beach days.

To be fair, ‘harvest’ is probably too strong a word for how few lavender plants I have; and what I’ve done probably isn’t the correct way to harvest it. But, I thought it was the best way to end up with semi-organised bunches…

I like to put it in the kitchen window so I smell lavender when the breeze blows in.
